Hi, I’m Rach, and I’m glad you’re here!

Inside Cause Fitness you’ll find everything you need to move towards holistic fitness: clear programming, credible resources, powerful teachings, prophetic ministry, supportive community, and more! If you value progress over perfection, quality over quantity, and clarity over confusion like I do, we’ve already got a lot in common.

My vision for CauseFitness originally came from seeing a lot of the same problems (listed above) with the industry of fitness as a whole; and wanting to be a safe place for anyone looking for a simple, yet trusted and credible, resource for physical transformation. That was before God gave me the revelation that fitness actually points to the gospel of Jesus! But more on that later.

I’ve been in the industry as a Certified Personal Trainer, competition coach, competitor, and fitness model since 2007. That experience has let me see the good, the bad, and the ugly of “fitness”, and let’s just say the “healthiest” industry isn’t getting any healthier. But why? The reason, I believe, is simple: it’s neglecting the Source of health and fitness. Truth is, looks can be deceiving. You can look super healthy and super hot while burying trauma, disorders, and spiritual atrophy. Go ahead -- ask me how I know.

So let’s change that. Starting here. Let’s be transformed by the renewing of our minds for the sake of Legacy. And let’s #causefitness!

My Fitness Story

I got into fitness near the end of college to cope with the aftereffects of sexual assault. A friend invited me to try weight training with them and I was hooked after one workout. Lifting left me feeling exhausted but in control, empowered, and confident -- the very things my abuser and the enemy had stolen from me.

This eureka moment birthed a mission to help as many women as possible overcome trauma through fitness. The same year I graduated, I started personal training and signed with a sports modeling agency. Shortly after that, I began competing in body-building competitions and winning. I used it all to drive myself to build a successful and profitable personal brand. However, in the building I buried and ignored my wounds, finding myself trapped in patterns of trauma rather than healed and whole. I appeared healthy, and yet no amount of money, status-level, credential, or aesthetic can give you true health, free your spirit, or heal your soul. But God…

One supernatural encounter with the Living God in June 2011 left me both terrified in awe and feeling more seen, known, and loved than I knew was possible. It led to the joyful surrender of my life to Jesus Christ in baptism; and to a radical journey of healing, identity, adventure, and freedom in Him – a journey that eventually led to me leaving my home and all my plans and false securities behind to follow Him around the country for 17 months as a #PurposefullyHomeless missionary. God taught me so much through this journey, but maybe most surprising is that He actually used it to teach me about His heart for fitness! In May of 2018, He whispered to me, “I want you to teach the gospel through fitness,” and He’s been revealing more about this ever since.

These revelations, along with the wealth of wisdom He’s entrusted to me through my personal process with Him over the past decade are what I am honored to pull from and share with you through the platform of CauseFitness.com. Let’s #causefitness, for the JOY set before us!
