Wondering what to do after a huge binge, or holiday meal?
It seems simple to just simply get “back on track” but that’s easier said than done. Binging for any reason is never easy on your body. Even if it’s a holiday feast, too much of a good thing isn’t so good anymore. On the other hand, dropping everything and doing a fast or a juice cleanse after a binge can actually be more harm than good too.
The key is, baby steps…
Everything in moderation, including coming off a binge. We’ve already (yes, me too – tis the season for excess calories) shocked our digestive systems and spiked our insulin. Our immune systems are in hyperdrive AND it’s cold/flu season.
How about a recipe for a natural immune boost? We’ll just add it to a balanced clean diet (not a juice cleanse/fast) and taper off the calorie overhaul slowly?

Immunity Boosting Carrot-Ginger Juice

- 5 large carrots
- 1 romaine heart
- 2 clementines, peeled
- 1/2 lemon, peeled
- 1-inch knob of fresh ginger
Ideally, you’d throw all the ingredients in a juicer to blend and drink right away, but a nutribullet blender and strainer work just fine too. :)
Drink this in addition to a clean, #causefitnessapproved diet, 3-4L fresh water daily, and daily exercise – and remember to keep moderation in lifestyle changes! Aim for gradual improvement, consistently, over time.
